What does Verification of Employment mean?
Verification of employment (VOE) is a process used by lenders to confirm a borrower's employment status and income. This is typically done by the lender requesting a letter from the borrower's employer, which confirms the borrower's job title, length of employment, and current salary. The lender uses this information to determine the borrower's ability to repay the loan. Some lenders may also verify the borrower's employment by contacting the employer directly, to confirm the borrower's employment status, income, and job history.
